West Tech artifacts, records, and other memorabilia lived in the smallest room in the West Tech building, just outside of the old auditorium for a number of years. In early 2009, the building owners offered the WTAA the use of Room 101 for its offices, which was formerly occupied by the school administration staff. 

The 100th anniversary celebration was held in July 2012. The old auditorium was used as a central place for gatherings and displays, while still using Room 101 for the administrative office and memorabilia collection, making the best use of the space and organized everything in categories.

For many years, a museum had been only a distant – but passionate – dream of the late Bonnie Dangler, ’64, Trustee, who was later named Museum Curator. After the 100 year celebration, the building owners offered the WTAA an opportunity to lease the auditorium space for a museum, office, memorabilia displays, and membership meetings. 

After a lot of hard work, planning, imagination, and the help of many volunteers, the West Tech Museum officially opened on December 17, 2013. It is a very unique, one of kind, museum in the City of Cleveland. Pictures, uniforms, trophies, and all kinds of West Tech memorabilia are on display at the museum.

In November, 2021, the WTAA was able to renew its lease for the next two years, with a one year option. Prior to the lease renewal, it was expected that the museum would have to find another home and no longer be in the West Tech building.

The museum is located at 2201 West 93 Street, Cleveland, Ohio, in the old auditorium of the former West Tech High School building. You may use the corner entrance at West 93 Street and Williard Avenue to enter and go up the stairs into the building. To the right is the entrance to the building owner’s management office as well as the entrance to the museum.
